About

Qamino was born from a day count gone wrong in Mexico. Built by a nomad for nomads, no investors, no growth pressure. It's the tool I wish I had when I started traveling long-term.

The story

Qamino was born from a day count gone wrong in Mexico. I miscounted my entry days, brushed against the tax residency threshold, and spent an evening recalculating my situation across three spreadsheets open at once. It made me realise that no tool simply did what I wanted: tell me how many days I had left, and warn me before it was too late.

I built the first version for myself. These days I live in Paraguay, travel between Latin America and Europe, and use Qamino every day. I design for people like me — nomads who want to travel calmly, not run a part-time administrative compliance business.

Qamino is built with no investors, no growth pressure, no roadmap dictated by a committee. I decide what gets built based on what truly serves long-term travelers. Features ship when they are ready — not to tick a marketing box.

Our vision

Three principles behind every decision.

Personal compliance

Qamino is not a spreadsheet, not a trip planner, not a legal advisor. It's a personal compliance dashboard — you see at a glance where you stand against the thresholds that concern you. The rest is up to you.

Mobile-first

Qamino lives in your pocket. Every interface decision starts from mobile — not from desktop. Larger screens benefit from it, but mobile is never the compromise.

Offline by default

The network is unpredictable when you travel. Once loaded, Qamino works without a connection — log a trip from the plane, the tunnel, the dead zone. Sync happens when the network comes back.

The team

Small today, deliberate growth tomorrow.

Designs, codes and operates Qamino solo. Has traveled continuously for years — the roadmap reflects his own personal compliance needs.

The team will grow as the product needs it. Every hire will be chosen for alignment with the Qamino doctrine — not to add headcount.
